 Kate Sheppard


Introduction: Kate Sheppard was born in England in a place called Liverpool. Kate Sheppard was born in 1847. She is famous for protesting for the women's suffrage movement.


Body Paragraph 1


When Kate Sheppard they had strict rules for women. If women were to buy a house they have to get permission from their father. Back then women were not allied to do many things without permission.

Kate Sheppard went on a tour around New Zealand and it took her 6 years to get around. She was going around NZ and talking about the woman's right. She also wrote articles in newspapers.

Kate Sheppard did a few petitions but they weren't successful then in 1893 she filed another petition and it was successful for the women's suffrage so that when the women were allowed to vote.



Conclusion


Kate Sheppard was a worthy person to New Zealand; she was great because she never gave on the women's suffrage petition. She made New Zealand a better place to live.
